In the distance, at the very highest part of a large span of rolling green hills, stood an impregnable stone castle. It was built with precision, essential in guarding against invasion or that of unwanted intrusion. A well worn path wound it's way up offering the view of an expansive Tower's Keep where guards stood rapt in it's shadows awaiting the moment they could be of use. The Gate was massive and the drawbridge was used to cross the deep Moat that surrounded it's high walls. It was rumored that dragons swam beneath it snatching the nearest passerby and pulling them into the depths of it's dark waters, eaten alive without so much as a scream. Once past the portcullis, who's heavy frame could be wrought down impaling it's victims, and if you were lucky enough to bypass the murder holes without falling victim as well, it opened into a wider section of ground to the Gatehouse. The castle's gate house was built three stories up, it's ground floor contained the guard rooms, the first floor held the guard quarter's and the top most floor held many various weapons.

Beyond the Gatehouse was the Capella, or Chapel, it's glazed windows shown cryptically against the light of the sky. These days it was rarely used but remnants of embroidered vestments, rich colorful furniture and an old altar chest was still within. Some religious festivals were still held along with the select few who prayed daily.

The ramparts, this is where Trinity stood, the wind whipping at her face having caused her cheeks to become slightly red and her thick golden hair was pulled back into a leather throng. She wasn't wearing any of the customary heavy equipment most of the men wore, but a dark set of woolen clothes, black leather boots and a heavy brown cloak. Two blades were sheathed and sat comfortably upon her back one crossing the other, her mouth was pursed into a fine line and her eyes held that of contempt. Hardly did she ever utter a word unless provoked or having need of delivering a direct message, she had a long history of having a short temper yet enough patience to wait out the inevitable, she longed for that of death, of one day meeting those who had long passed. However, she fought with a ferocious yet uncaring passion that has kept her alive thus far, keeping those closest to her, now, to live and fight another day.

Inside the Castle's Great Hall, low hung chandeliers were lit offering soft lighting along with torches that were bracketed to the walls. Long heavy tables with ornate sturdy chairs lined the innermost part of the room, expensive tapestries hung in the shadows and a large hearth held a warm fire. Laughter could be heard, the salivating aroma of good food could reach that of a hungry traveler and heavy draughts of many drinks could be found to quench one's thirst.

(we have so many introduction threads! was thinking how about one for rping our characters introductions? everyone is more than welcome to join in! And also more than welcome to describe or use other parts or surroundings of what a castle's secrets hold ^^)
