Tod sits by the side of the road and penns a few words to his granma about his adventures.
Dear Granma
Sorry it has taken me so long to write.
As you can see by my letter, I did arrive safely on Anto's ship. I landed in a place they call Gort which was a nice town I hung around there a few days and worked on thier port.
I then had a offer from a nice lass called Bella to visit her in a town called Baile. Well it was less of a offer and more of threat to kidnap me. I am not sure how I manage to get in so much trouble.
So I got out a chart that Tosher had given me before I left and it had a town called Baile on it to the North of Gort.
So I packed my carts and took with me the nice drawing Rasa gave me (please give her a hug from Unky Tod).
When I arrived in this town, to my horror I discovered that the irish name more than one town Baile.
Why they cannot give each town a different name like normal folk is beyond me. But I am in a strange land.
To make matters worse Bella town was some days north.
I did stroll around this town hoping to hear the scottish voice of Elois but alas I did not see her.
I then did take a naval class, but as the teacher took so long to arrive, I did partake in a little too much rum and fell asleep amonst some sails. The teacher did then threaten to hit me for not paying attention. But I must be a gifted pupil as I still did learn about a rum hangover, also sails are a little itchy on your skin.
Ireland can be a dangerous place. There does appear to be quiet a few single ladies here you may wish to tell Seldom.
I am now travelling back to Gort to help on thier port while I wait for more lessons to learn.
Also the threat of being kidnapped meant it was safer for me to be in the South.
I did hear his Grace Edwin Duke of Glasgow did want me to return. I was told he had a special job for me hanging out in the crowsnest at Arden.
I am not sure this is the best job for me, as from there I may be able to observe any Laison he has with Amelia Suffolk. Could you please try and talk him out of giving me this very very important job.
I do hope when you returned home your house was in a good state and I did replace the mattress Scarlette wrecked.
Say hi to my brother Donte I have not heard from him for a long while.
I hope you and granpa Snow are safe and well.
If I do find any nice sparkley things here in Ireland I will be sure to bring some home.
At the moment all I have is a sore head and some bruises.
Lots of Love
Tod
