I didn't want to make different categories for shooters, so consider them all here. Top down, side scrolling, 1st or 3rd person, list em up!

Halo series (Xbox and Xbox 360)

Call of Duty: Black Ops 1

I guess I don't play a whole lot of shooters. Sure there is more? Hmmm

Can I add Timesplitters to the list?

Such an underrated game, but my god the multiplayer was awesome (and the story too I guess).

Another underrated and amazing FPS is actually a Star Wars game called Republic Commando. The multiplayer wasn't the greatest for it, but the story mode was fantastic.

Team Buddies (PS1) <-- The greatest game I've ever played..
Time Crisis 2 (Arcade) <-- I've spent too much money completed that series.
Black Ops I <-- Multiplayer, Campaign + ZOMBIES.
Battlefield 3 <-- Never owned it, from what little I played, I almost rathered it as it was a change from the same shit in COD every year.

I'm actually a big COD person. Only really enjoy the one's made by Treyarch (WaW, BO & BO2) as opposed to InfinityWard (MW, MW2, MW3 + Ghosts). With that in mind I thought Ghosts looked to be a little better than their usually stuff so I got it, not really much into it yet but looks promising


Ahlia actually reminds me of a game I played on the iPod Touch, Star Wars Old Republic or something? Either way it was touch screen shooter game which had multiplayer, was pretty epic.

I don't play many shooters anymore, which is why these are old. Used to play Quake during breaks at work...quite fun to shoot your coworkers.  

Duke Nukem - (MS-DOS...the original side scrolling game)
Wolfenstein 3d - (MS-DOS)
Quake - (Windows)
Goldeneye - (N64)

haha everyone loves Goldeneye! And Timesplitters was awesome. It was the first game I came across that allowed your own map creation! It was also my very first ps2 game, or one of them, which makes it even more awesome.

- Killzone 1 - two players could play alongside and against bots on great levels on ps2, back before online so was a very social game in that sense.
- COD MW and Black ops of course
- Battlefield 3 was a welcome break from irritating 12 year olds on COD
- MAG - Some players on there who knew what they were doing, never met an annoying 12 year old on that one, they would of probably ended up crying before selling the game the next day.
- ARMA games have always looked fantastic due to the realism and the tactics, but sadly I have never played any.
- One of my personal favorites, the operation flash point series. Realistic squad tactics and Operation Flashpoint: Red River is one of the few games made in the 21st century that lets you fight against terrorists before coming up against the Chinese army, set in Tajikistan - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHeGjVXrCPs - a game for people fed up of USA vs Russia army games.

And one I am surprised hasn't being mentioned already - Starwars Battlefront!

I wasn't sure if this was meant for just for FPS games, but secret weapons over Normandy was a great ps2 game where you could fly an array of ww2 planes from the Evacuation of Dunkirk, the battle of Britain, sinking of the Bismark, D-day and the North African and Pacific theaters. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3G85y6E8MhQ

I'm not a big fan of shooters (because I suck at them), but I've got a stack of the Bioshock games waiting for me one of these days...
