| OK, we are all waiting for elder scrolls. We are all excited for it. We are all planning to play it. If we are going to play it together we need to figure out what faction we are going to be. Or are we all going to be out to kill each other... | |

| There are three factions (alliances), with three races in each faction. Nords, dark elves, and argonian are one group. High elves, wood elves and khajiit are another. And finally Breton, redguard and orc are the last.
If we are all going to group together we have to pick a single alliance. At least that is my understanding. I don't believe races from the different groups can work together.
I could be wrong and completely off on any of this... | |

| hmm, tough choice.
In The Elder Scrolls Online, players choose to become members of one of three alliances. Each alliance has a unique story and specific goals.
The Daggerfall Covenant is comprised of the two Provinces of northwest Tamriel: High Rock and Hammerfell, home to the Bretons and the Redguards. The Covenant has also offered the Orcs the opportunity to return to their ancient homeland of Orsinium in exchange for their support. Working together, the three races have formed a powerful alliance that aims to restore the Second Empire and bring peace and prosperity back to Tamriel.
The Ebonheart Pact is the most tenuous of alliances, consisting of former enemies turned allies in northern and eastern Tamriel. The Nords, Dark Elves, and Argonians of Skyrim, Morrowind, and Black Marsh fight to restore stability to the Empire and ensure their own autonomy.
The Aldmeri Dominion is composed of the three races of southern Tamriel: the Wood Elves of Valenwood, the Khajiit of Elsweyr and the leaders of the Pact, the High Elves of the Summerset Isles. The Aldmeri Dominion fights to stop the dangerous machinations of humankind, and restore the Elven dominance in Tamriel.

| Testing out the beta a bit this weekend, it isn't the worse game I have played, but it certainly isn't the best either. Graphics could use some work on character model, but then again it is just the beta still. They also have crafting they would in skyrim with cooking and making potions. Still playing around to see everything, but just starting so will post more info that I find. Setting of whole game graphics aren't bad, kind of cartoonish, but I mean you can't expect something like Skyrim on a MMORPG. If you want I can take some screenshots for you guys. So far though I am enjoying the game. Also I am a nord so whoo ebonhart, but also made a Breton at first. You have any questions on the game I will try to help out with finding out with the game. I have it until sunday or Monday not sure when the beta weekend I am on ends, but yea! | |

| If you pre-order a digital copy it says you will be able to play any race in any alliance. There is also a 80 dollar imperial edition where you can play as Imperials in any alliance, as well as the other races and some other cool stuff. | |

| Also if you're not sure about getting the imperial edition and instead preorder the standard edition, you'll have the opportunity to upgrade to the imperial later on after launch day - but only if you've preordered the standard edition. For me it's really going to depend on what racial skills are available for the imperial race. The rest of the stuff in the imperial edition looks like cosmetic fluff. Kinda giggling at some of the strife going on about the imperial edition. Everyone who preorders gets in 5 days early - but the goodies available from preordering, like the imperial horse and so on won't be available until the official launch day. Some ppl preordered the imperial edition for the sake of getting a mount 5 days early (as horses are kinda expensive to buy) and now they are nerd raging over the five day wait | |

| I only got as far as level 5 before I got bored, so didn't get as far as PvP. It just seemed empty to me...I tried to specialise in a non-combat skill like provisioning, but the whole thing just seems agonisingly slow. Plus £50 + £15 per month?! I just bought Kingdoms of Amalur in the Steam sale, and it's like I just discovered RPG combat for the first time - fighting is fast and frantic and desperate in a way that ESO combat never was. It's smaller than Skyrim but my god it is so much fun... | |
