can you uninstul IE and everything still work

hey i got fire fox but still have IE can i delete Internet explorer and msn messenger and everything still work?

Love, you can uninstall IE but there are some stupid programs out there that need IE to work. Most things can be done in Firefox though. Just make Firefox your default browser and forget IE. And MSN isn't necessary on any computer, really, unless you want to use it. It's just bundled with Windows.

Like El said, some programs use IE for default internet browsing features (even if you dont actually see the browser open). I'd probably just leave it there and never use it.

None of these will work exactly like MSN. Some of them might be missing a few really useful features, but unlike MSN Messenger, they're not going to be as plugged into your OS.

Mm.. a while ago because of a too slimmed down version of xp msn wouldn't work for me so I had to find another IM program. Hard finding one which supports cam and voice chat =|

I forget which one of those support voice chat, if at all. But, in my experience, XFire's voicechat is stronger than MSN's. It has an MSN plugin, so you can talk to folk on MSN, and also use it for various online games. No cam though.

Is Avast AV and Google Chrome browser good?

Also is there Adblock Plus software for Google Chrome?

Firefox works unbelievably slow for me and it doesn't help when Talktalk internet hardly works sometimes.

I wont use Skype. I've heard things about it being the worst for privacy, and even though what I have to say is of no use to the gov., I don't want to use it on principle. Plus, it's the bulkiest software I've tried in regards to voice chat.

I like Avast. I still use AVG but I installed Avast for my sister. Besides it being good security, it talks like a pirate. Plus it has this nice boot scanner, which is really helpful if you're having a real issue with viruses and trojans.

Have you installed any new add-ons for Firefox lately? Sometimes certain add-ons or a combination of add-ons are problematic.

Just make sure to backup your bookmarks, whatever you do.

Only have Adblock on FF which is great, want that for Chrome though. Am not allowed to download things that aren't important.

Bookmarks auto transfer to different browsers.

Actually strange, FF working fine now after using Chrome.

Avast told me to do boot time scan but still isn't going away

From what I've read, it wont go away and is going to open more backdoors into your computer to download more viruses, trojans ad worms. You're not the only one that has this virus and it keeps coming back for them too. The longer you wait, the worse it gets. Reformatting is something nobody wants to do but it's better than paying a repair bill.
