Totally legit US presidential poll

American politics are probably the most ridiculous I've ever seen them.  And we're talking about a country that managed to elect a man who made it out of the third grade only by the grace of his daddy's money.  Twice.  (George W. Bush)

So, just for fun, I thought I'd start a poll to see who you would like to see as president of the US.  I really don't care if you live outside the US and want to vote.

I voted for Hillary in the primary and I'll do so again in the general election this fall.

Rinse and repeat for 2020.

I would probably vote for Bernie if I was in the US, but then, a potato - that is the most useful thing on the list, it is renewable, can be eaten and generates an electric current. Plus it allows GLAdos to keep her slow clap function. Winner all the way!

It really is the most ridiculous election season. If I were in any other country, I'd be sitting there eating popcorn, watching and laughing. But since I'm an American, I'm more like:

A fucking potato. We're screwed.

Good riddance. I can't stand Ted Cruz, who's infinitely more dangerous than Trump. Trump is an idiot but Cruz is an indoctrinated idiot with an ideology.

I thought the Japanese bombed pearl harbour?  It was the Enola Gay that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.  That did get the world's attention but just like the English concentration camps (yes the English invented them) and the European slave trafficking (that is still a problem to this day) it wasn't positive attention and nothing to be proud of.

So many nations have so much to be ashamed of.  It makes me sad actually, because on the whole people just want to live ordinary lives.  I grew up in a war zone, knew bomb drills and how to spot landmines before I could spell my own name (though granted, my name - Lorraine, is not the easiest to spell ).  I learned then that no matter how many people die, there is always someone else to stand in their place.  War has no answer, only peace can do that but we are so accustomed to conflict that we get uneasy in peace.

(Sorry, didn't mean to get all morbid and philosophical about a joke )

And another irony, my name means 'one who is famous in battle' ...

I love how you mention the English. People don't realize/talk about how absolutely brutal English rule was basically everywhere in the world. And Belgians - not the innocent little country people think it is. They were pioneers in the art of killing other people in a systematic fashion.

But to be honest, it really, really, really matters who Americans vote for in November. Whether Americans or others realize it or not, America was, is, and will be for the foreseeable future, the most important country on earth. The American economy is by far the most important one, and America's foreign policy has ramifications for practically everyone. So yea, other countries will take whoever is elected seriously, they have to. That's why it's up to americans to make a responsible choice this election.

I love how Bernie Sanders and a potato have been neck and neck... These are our most viable options folks! Science says so!
