So if you've run this since U11, you know it's gotten a bit tougher. Raids are still running it the same as they used to though, which is kinda silly and ends in more deaths and a longer raid. The major changes are that the Reaver tosses more disintigrates etc., and he has a lot more hp.

Given that, it seems like the old "tank until we pull the lever" method is a bad idea. Right now, I'm watching people die while taking forever trying to kill the Reaver after everything is lit. It seems to me that, with it taking so much longer to kill him, it makes much more sense to have more people prepping him during the initial stage, and then after the lever is pulled we can just take him down. Less time for him to toss out nasty spells and take down the party.

Thoughts? I'd like to toss around ideas on making this more efficient with the changes and then maybe we can try it out as a group.

I've done it a few times with Harzak and the groups I've been in have been pretty good. Basically, the ToD Horoth tanking method is used, with one person tanking the Reaver, while the others hit on him from behind.

We've even had to calm down most of the time so as not to kill him before all the orbs are lit and someone has pulled the lever.

Yeah, did a couple runs of Reavers since the update and it's just a bit more active, less piking, with the group prepping the reaver to around 40% during the stage of getting the skulls to spin, then holding back as before until the lever is pulled.

I think the save for disintegrate is a fortitude save, so those with a low fortitude should just stay out of the way? Something like that.

Good, I was hoping people had tried it a different way since the update. The groups I've been in so far seem determined to still do it the old way and then are shocked at the results.

It was kinda funny though, even with the changed tactics. You know how the reaver can still be aggroed on someone and then run back a bit before letting loose some arrows at the 'tank' ... a bunch of peeps still hitting on his back ran out to follow the reaver to the centre when he did this. Cue reverse gravity and oopsie ... spike deaths *grins*
