Merging my guild Empty
PostSubject: Merging my guild   Merging my guild EmptyFri Mar 23, 2012 10:42 am

Hey there i know i am new here, but while i was waiting to join you guys, i made my own guild called Pan's Coven, got it to lvl 20 in under a month, but what i am wondering if i pulled my main out of there, i know it will fall apart, and there are some very active and loyal players. Would a select few be able to come over with me if they wanted to. Most of us in that guild were solo runners, no BS no Drama. Thought i would ask here on what you all thought about it.

For the time being she is just sitting there till i make a choice what to do with her.

The first thing I would ask is how does your guild feel about this? And the second is, how many people?

We are not openly recruiting, never have been and (probably) never will be. And we're a pretty close-knit group of team players. But we also don't have a policy of not letting people in to be elitist jerks. I'm going to quote myself from 6 months ago on this one.

Quote :
It's far more important that someone be friendly, willing to help others, and not a cause of drama than it is for them to be able to build or gear an uber toon. I also think that for the sake of anyone new to the guild, they need to be made aware of things that could potentially bother them: we are small, we are all on different time zones around the world, and some of us have known each other for years so they may feel like an outsider especially at first.

My vote is that new accounts should be extended on an individual basis.

I agree with Jill and Dee. We would have to know/get to know the individual.

We've given refugees from that other game invites with ease; simply because we knew, or many of us knew, these people from the other game.

We've recruited people from DDO on a case by case basis; long as all of us are cool with it, none of us have any problems.

But we aren't actively recruiting. That can change, it is up to you guys, so good to talk it over and see what everyone thinks. Smile

I wanted to get your views on this first before i talked to them about it. We have about 30 active members BUT i would only (if they wanted to) ask maybe 3-5 to come here. Most in the guild like i said before are solo players, older family type people (like me)

No big deal either way as i am happy here, But i wanted to bring my alts with me, is that aloud. Or should i leave em in my guild?

If you are already in our guild, you can bring as many alts into the guild as you'd like. Smile

And yea, while we aren't actively recruiting, if there is someone cool who you (or any of our guildies) would like to get a shot, just let us know. We are really informal regarding these things.

Most likely, unless one of us knows them we won't outright recruit them. So, maybe next time you are running with the guild, might be can just ask 'can I bring my friend along?', and/or these interested people can join this forum here so we can all get to know each other etc.

Just tossing ideas out there. Smile

We aren't 100% exclusive, but we are not recruiting Korthos noobs either. Razz

Cool people from RK, cool people from DDO, IRL friends/family...

Only rules are 1: no assholes and 2: no drama. Razz
