so i was thinking about trying to splash a level (or two) of druid onto a stalwart defender intimitank so i can use this ability

Your enemy's fear galvanizes you. Whenever you use intimidate, or use an ability that triggers an intimidate check, you gain 2 DR/- for six seconds
nice little top up to DR when i'm using intimidate. only problem is that if i wear metal armor/weapons/shield i lose druid abilities (including this one i assume). i know about greensteel and dragonscale (and dragontouched armor)...any other druid-friendly options for a tank? or a high end shield? or is this just a bad idea, which i'm okay with....
