After Monarchy

So, I dearly love the friendships both IC and OOC that I've created with Terrasophia. But, all monarchs have to die after their terms end. I'd like to keep those relationships but I'd need to resolve them IC for whatever I do next. Any opinions?

That's the bad side of being Queen, losing your character.  I chose to become Springtime's little known daughter, Spring.. who had been quietly trained to replace Springtime, should the need ever arise.  Spring... is much like Springtime, but a little fiercer and more cunning.  She still has her mother's kindness underneath, but it's well hidden from those who wish to cause harm.  In this way Spring.., having access to her mother's journals, has knowledge going back before she was ever seen or known, and can claim friendships with those her mother knew and allied with, as well as knowledge and some history with those she opposed.

Just be careful, someone wrote Admins claiming I hadn't made a new character and was still playing Springtime, with a slightly changed name.  I got a threat of eradication, but I guess my explanation was good enough, because Spring.. is still in the game.

I think that keeping the suspense wether or not if Terra died would be my choice. Let people wonder if she is really dead or if she is lurking around in the shadows to avoid something that keeps murdering kings and queens.
Could even add a mysterious group somewhat "pro republican" that wants the monarchy to fall and only leave Dukes and established councils to rule the countries.

LMAO @Dee. Well, he was just born but I sure as hell am not naming him Sajan. Of course, Clare is an option, but not a very exciting one.

Well, terra will most certainly have to die or disappear, as is the price for being monarch (a bad deal that's only worth it if everyone hates you like bare, rothar, wallace... Lol). I'd like to see you reincarnated as a Rose Clan member though. Or maybe ninon's children will have grown up by then and you can be Georgaina! Haha. Oh how the years fly by....

Can always travel to locations far far away, we do have people there as well, so it wont be boring

To me, writing a new character is like walking into someone else's home. It is strange and unfamiliar. If you keep the old identity, you can keep Terra's history including the wars she has been through, her marriage(s??), and even her previous role as queen.

Starting a new identity has its merits as an exercise in writing. You know, if you want to start from scratch and all that.

I vote DOWN cutting all ties.     Unless.....it is because you are looking at joining the dark side.....

Hmm. I've had to start over so many times (twice by choice). Only the second time did I go with an entirely new identity severing all ties (only my real friends stuck with me, hehe). The rest I just stuck with Trinkles here, did lose a bunch of stuff info wise on past robberies etc and let go of anything I didn't feel worth hanging onto. Wasn't a big deal, I think I'll go with Dry here...

Well, if anyone is reading the forums carefully, the origin story is already out there.
