Looks like it installed and patched fine while I was asleep. Maybe I will give it a go this weekend afterall. I have some class work I need to get done tho, but I at least have Saturday off work so here is hoping.

is the Kajit the cats?  if so thats what I am, Bekah there too and finally level 4 woohoo! (don't laugh, I'm crap at these games and spend most of my time wondering where the fuck I am or swimming around in circles.)

Dunno what "tonight" is for you guys, but I am thinking of playing later, just have to watch "Riddick" first

Sounds like there will be TWO cat ladies running/bumbling around Tamiel (or whatever it is called). Bekah- be prepared to see my inane questions like "how do I run?" or "which character on the screen is me??!!" in the guild chat box.

Playing Oolou, a nord templar in the ebonpact area. Not sure how guild invites work in this but if ppl want to group up to explore then I'm around.

And omg ... I was all focused on getting the xp to get to lvl 10 so I could try out the pvp area, but I got to lvl 9 and thought fuckit, I'm gonna explore instead. Snuck my way to the end of the road - as far as we're allowed to go, I think ... and its sooooooo beautiful, and scary and funny and yus, totally in love with this game. I just needed to let go of the min max must-lvl-up mindset to appreciate it

I now need to rework my budget so I can buy it and pay the sub. The cat may have to eat the dirt cheat cat food - the sort that looks and stinks like dog food. :p  (kidding, I'll be the one on beans and noodles).

So funny - another guy turned up and we grouped up to try and break thru the invisible barrier - which you can do if you head South rather than North. Took a nice screenie that I'll share after the release date of us at the end of the world

I really like the game, but...

It is really hard for me to justify the expense of 'renting' a game. Yea, I know. Is not that I am cheap, is just the principle of it. Sometimes I just don't have time to play, sometimes I get tired of the same game(s); I guess a lot depends on 'how much' in basic. 15 bucks a month just seems too much for me and my erratic game schedules. But who knows.

Overall, the game is good. Lots and lots of quests, character customization, and lore. Very immersive, and the world is gigantic. Quests are fun and not repetitive. Graphics are well optimized, running at ultra everything with max draw distance is a nice treat. Sound is top notch.

Gameplay leaves a bit to be desired. With limited options for hotbars, one kind of feels pigeon holed in at times. Graphics could be better, but are more than good enough. Lack of game controller support seems dumb. Grouping is a hot mess, is confusing and not intuitive in the least. Bugs are prevalent as expected in a beta. Load screens can be a brutal wait.

Cons aside, it still does seem to be shaping up to be a great game though. In the end it will come down to money I think. Renting a game to me comes with several drawbacks. I will literally feel that I am not getting my money worth if I am not going to be playing everyday, and with my schedule it seems far fetched to imagine me getting enough play time to justify the expense. But who knows. I think a big factor in this will also be- how many of you will get the game? MMO's are all the more fun with friends.

So, still a lot up in the air.
