Well, he is wrong that I don't have food there...it's just not all of it is for sale. So I'd have to travel back there to close it (to recover the food). And I doubt they would let me travel there without prosecution!

Actually, if I am reading things right with my talks with Robin, it is highly likely that we would be allowed to go to England and be safe from prosecution.

Cost of opening a tavern:  £100
Taxes on the tavern: £20 per week and climbing
The satisfaction of annoying certain English types:  Priceless!

Technically everyone on both sides was pardoned under the treaty, but they could still bar you access.

Well, I kinda like it there. It provides me correspondence from those that stop in Kendal, sit in the tavern, and write me a 'Thank You' note for handing an ass whipping to the English. It also provides me correspondence from those that hate it, and vent about how horrible a person I am. The latter of which is likely true. :-)

In any case, your mail is the first to actually make me consider it. But it will not be a small undertaking. I stashed quite a bit of stat food in that tavern as I could not carry everything with me when we plundered and looted Westmorland. :-) So, despite that tavern not having anything for sale, I cannot just close it.

Accordingly, I would have to have a full pardon and a promise that a trip by me and an armed retinue of my closest friends would not be accosted in a journey to and from Kendall. It may actually take more than one trip to close the tavern as well as for me to get a few things from my flat there.

Let me know your thoughts.

As for winning, WML won just as much as Laighean did in our first war. Laighean was utterly defeated and wrecked, and so was WML. Sure Laighean recovered after a year, and WML took about 2 years, but that doesn't change history. We both lost and got wrecked.

Ah well let them have their revisionist history. The truth is the truth. Hopefully England learned their lesson and will abide by the treaty. If not, we will have to go back and teach them another lesson.

I thought it was funny because Aggness cant possibly know what Glasgow has. Nor I do think she has intel on other CA's counties.

I don't know about you folks but I find the argument taking place in Devon entertaining and humorous. Seems people are shit flinging because they don't agree with the name of the Devon army and wish to change it. That Irish Dragons lady especially likes to stir the shit pot it seems. I wonder who will have to lick the spoon.

So, despite the fact that I ended up aligned with the CA at the end of the war, I'm still getting a metal for my brief service at the beginning of England.
