Thanks man, whilst I was being wanker, found some pretty useful stuff that kept be back to track on what I was supposed to be doing. It was on this site but not this, that I was looking at. Anways look, this is like your name.

Knitting has become trendy among young people the past few years. And there's a shop that sells yarn near my house that teaches knitting/crochet classes. But I'd rather not pay for what I can teach myself, so I used that website to learn. There's a crochet instruction site somewhere as well but I forget where.

I had a job at a yarn shop the other year and they'd have me knit swatches whenever the shop didn't have customers. And the owner would look at me murderously if I had one loose stitch. So, I'm pretty well used to how to do things.

Good thing about yarn is that a lot of it is reuseable, so if ya make a mistake, you can undo the mistake and fix it, or you can unravel the entire thing and work on another project.

Of course, if ya want to learn, you should start with something easy, like making a wash cloth, or a scarf. I was a masochist so I think after my first swatch, I decided to do a Swamp Witch shawl.

I prefer knitting hats and gloves. Small, quick projects that I can wear out and about. Sock knitting is nice too but I haven't found the perfect sock yarn as yet.

And once ya start trying out different yarns, the cheap yarns are no longer interesting, and the more expensive yarns become eternally fascinating. Yes, it's a nerdy addiction.

The swamp witch look gets stale after about a week. But i love it.

I'm sorry to hear about people who obtain degrees and can't find use for them. It's awful. I know one of the people who got fired from the place I was working is now some editor of a knitting magazine. And one of the crochet teachers from the shop nearby spins her own yarn. A lot of people make a business out of it. Ya get the yarn and spin it, then dye it. I don't know those techniques but I admire them.

Your relative could possibly do that, or knit things and sell them on Etsy.com. Also, another thing, if you have any old saris that ya don't need, I see that yarn made out of sari scraps sell for a lot of money online.

Also, she could put out ads to teach courses from home, or try working at a community center.
