Well the grind hasn't been as bad so far as I thought... then again only a week into it.
Hit lvl 8 last night, thanks in part to the decision to make Auro an assassin rogue t his go round. Decided on the short swords from the event for my weapon of choice and have been farming the hell out of it. For the most part I've been getting just shy of 10k for the 2 runs, nice way to get over that TR xp hit...and the best part, there's no "you've completed X times -50%" straight xp =)

Grats Bella - you've really been grinding out the XP - the best is yet to come!
It was great to finally be able to use my greensteel items/weapons at levels 11/12 - really makes a difference!
Notice that the percentage of XP needed per rank increases by 5% each level for TR1s (10% for TR2s).
At level 1 that is no big deal (1,000 XP for non-TR versus 1,050 XP for TR1s).
At level 19 though that is 38,000 XP for non-TR versus 74,100 XP for TR1s (and 110,200 XP for TR2s).
I'm starting to feel the burn at level 13 but then again TR groups usually run quests 6 or 7 times so the XP adds up reasonably fast.

So, after all the hesitation, I decided that human might be the best way to go
The enhancements aren't set in stone as I might take Energy of the Templar III for a few extra SP, although it's workable as this build has exactly the same amount of SP as in the first life (the nice thing is that I have 40 more HP and that could go higher if I add another toughness feat ). I'm also not sure whether DM IV is worth spending all those points on as it doesn't add that much more to my DPS and I could add in a few more auras to help the party (+3 concentration for casters, + to saves, etc.).
As for the feats, I could probably learn to live without Extend, although it'd be a real pain as Zeal and Divine Favour are only 2 minute spells without it and therefore need to be rebuffed even more regularly. UMD is there because it's nice I could swap it out for Tower Shield Proficiency though as I have a couple of nice ones that I might wish to use...
The thing I'm most disappointed about is the 20.5 UMD I thought I could get it higher than that! (well I have a +6 CHA item and +2/+1 Exceptional CHA on other items and am going to build a CHA Shroud item too).

Wow the XP is killing me at level 16 (80% more needed per rank than non-TRs).
Been running vale quests like crazy (and anything else for that matter as I am now officially an XP whore).

I've decided to be a good sensible boy for once
I could TR now, but as I've just acquired a new GS item for Gilders (thanks Anto - I haven't seen you IG since to give you the money...), I've decided to wait for my 40th completion to get the cleansing essence. Also, by then, I should hopefully have my 20th VoN under my belt and maybe even the Sword of Shadows...
Therefore, I'm basically putting off TRing Gilders for one more month.

Well, a little over 2 months later and Dee has finally finished his TR1 (with a LR thrown in there as well).
He'll be accumulating some more +3 tomes and finishing off his 2nd Lit2 khopesh before considering TRing again.
I can't say that I really notice an increase in Dee's overall "horsepower", but with another TR and some +2 shrines onboard, I think I will.
The big thing that did make a difference was being able to equip my green steel items and weapons at levels 11 and 12, respectively.
Made things a wee bit easier hehe.
Overall, a fun experience!

Auro is banking 15 and working on lvl16 now... figure this is the best approach in the higher levels. I plan on getting the slayers in sands, ateraxia etc to help offset the huge needs for 16. I really can't wait for 16 tho...dragon touch, my new toys...
and I'll be tring again, just debating if it will be Auro again or if I do faye or cari

Agreed - I usually ignore the endgear selections because I'm not patient enough to grind for epic gear.
Also agree that feats are also subjective depending on what you want to do.
Note the lack of sorc builds on the forums - this will be the first build since Dee that I've actually done trial and error (looking forward to it too).
Some good debates in the guide - it's a long one but good reading.

Hey Dee got a challenge for you when you make your tank to test it verse Pogue Jr. I find it funny how Axer says AC is useless but I can do it and everything else he has listed on a first lifer. I'd like to see who could hold aggro of a boss without using intimidate, I have gotten Jr's threat generation over 250% without intimidate and only a 40 Str using ship and yugo pots. I'm still trying to figure out his great saves when he has no dex for reflex or wis for will saves though. Next time you log in look Pogue Jr up and his AC can handle any elite quest the only thing Horoth hits me on is a 19 and 20.

I have to agree sort of. Having improved Gilders' AC quite a bit, I have noticed that he doesn't get hit so much and therefore takes less damage. He also has around 250% (maybe even 300%) threat and so far nobody has taken the aggro off him when he's tanked.
Plus with the epic Chimera's fang, he now has 150% fortification, so doesn't get critted by mobs that bypass fort.

I'm also kind of skeptical of the "Ultimate Epic HP Tank" build myself (already having a Metaru and a Big Rock Candy Mountain build), but then again, I haven't tanked a whole lot of epic raids. Thought I'd give it a whirl as a bit of education (and the fact that Dee the former pally had been sitting on the shelf and was the least active of my toons as of late).
One thing's for sure, I've only seen a few people tank the epic Demon Queen and you're the main one that comes to mind, Pogue.
Believe it or not, before you posted, I did actually check out your myDDO link at: http://my.ddo.com/character/khyber/poguemahonjr/ and I searched for a build on the DDO forums, but didn't see one for Poguemahonjr.
Any chance of you posting your complete build (feats, enhancements, etc.) sometime?

Another reason I wanted to test this build is the fact that Axer doesn't appear to have actually completed one that is capable of epic raids.
Looks like his Dualaxer was the one he was building/testing, but he hasn't logged in on it since November and at the moment of this post, it's only level 5 (4FTR/1BRB).

Also interesting that Axer diverged from the pure fighter build he had on paper and added a level of barb (not surprising as he is the barb guru and it's a work in progress).
So I'll keep you posted - if anything, I can always TR/LR Dee if he sucks once he hits level 20 - again, it's an experiment and I've always wanted to play a dwarf.
Got a question do you have a set of +3's on that toon i put a supreme set on Jr which helped a lot to get the stat points where I really needed them and so I could drink Yugo pots without becoming retarded lol. If not I can try and rework my build for you using the points you get with your build. As for my build I just kept poking away at it didn't use any forum posts to copy and I rarely post my builds that way they are unique to me . But any help you need I am more than willing to help I think I ended up lesser TRing Pogue Jr about 4 times before I got him to where he is at now, I've even been toying with the idea of TR'ing him just to see what I could do with another life under his belt.
