Q: Every time I flip to another page on the forum, the name I chose for the chat is gone. Why?

A: You need to sign in, or register with Chatango in order to not have to keep generating user names. Once you have signed in, it will automatically log you in on each page.

Q: How do I get a standard user name in the chat box?

Q: How do I find my old password/reset my password?

A: Reset your password here: http://chatango.com/forgot

Q: How do I make the chat box stop beeping!

A: Bottom left of the chat box, click the volume icon. Click to remember your settings.

Benefits to making a free chat account at Chatango:

1: You can make private messages and private rooms.

2: You can view any page on this forum, and not have to log back in or change your name again.

3: It works on any Chatango chat box, anywhere.



You can still simply 'log out' from the chat box, and stay logged into the forum. You then revert back to an 'anon'.

I tend to logout and then click the X on the top-right of the chat. That closes the chat completely, so I avoid hearing all of that clicking. And then I can just click the chatbox to log back in.
