i been playing http://www.battlemaster.org/ for like 8 months now. if you liked rk at some point you should check it out. pretty simple but deep game, sand boxy and open ended. its very rp oriented in game if you like writing rp, dont let the name fool you.
its mostly text except for the maps and side menu, you click on links for your actions. 2 turns a day. you could get along with login once a day, and sometimes less than that. but like rk, inactivity mostly isnt rewarded, you get what you give.
its mainly about team vs team wars and politics, in medieval setting along with feudal politics and economy. you can play several characters form the same family. they can die by battle, duels, assassination, execution, and old age, then can start a new one. different govt forms, old realms can die, new ones founded, realms can expand. can revolt cites and dukes. char classes and sub classes and skills are mostly about battle, but there is courtiers and priests, and then the political feudal ranks.
if you join, start a noble in madina, on dwilight island. i just got a baronetcy there and need knights so i can crank the taxes up on my peasants, so i can get more gold for me and my knights. my toon there is named fernando, lord of bol (he is freds brother, heheh). its a small realm and if many of us joined there and blocked up, we would have some fun.

| its only like rk for its slow pace compared to all the other clickfest wargames out there that ive tried and didnt care for, and for its rp element. i never played any muds, this may be one, i dunno, but there are no dungeon missions or things like that. its like a 10 year old game, only recently did they add forums, and theres no chat in game. the only thing to pay real money for is a one time donation thing that gets you an extra character slot, but there are restrictions on how many toons you can have per island and so it doesnt give an adavantage in gameplay. | |

I actually just started playing it again. Not a HUGE fan though yet, haven't found any maps that I really like like I did in SC1. Have to search more user maps for cool LOTRISH and Helms deep types | |
