| I finally got an invite after like.... 9 months. Its pretty dull so far. Just a clicking and waiting castle building game. It looks like there's supposed to be some crusader kings-esque marriage/diplomatic relations elements, but I haven't really gotten that far yet. | |

| @ahlia, got mine a few days ago
It is definitely kind of a drag like Kythera said, its slow paced and half still in French. Also a lot of the features don't work/a lot of the buildings don't show up in your town.
It's also super lame because you then realize how many of the "NEW!!! 3D RK" is actually recycled images and textures from their work on this game.....
ETA: I'm also predicting on an overhaul of the RK maps using these textures.
And I forgot to talk about why I do think it has potential, early alpha complaints are sand in the wind with the final product. It is a way better version of that game Tribal Wars if anyone played that, time passes at a decent rate compared to RK (I believe a year each day, which is easy to remember imo). I enjoy the amount you have to macro manage things. Knowing which of your citizens are working where and why and when to move them other places. The "peace treaty, marry my son to your daughter" interface is pretty cool, its actually like an offer with articles and sections.
It is definitely going to have pay to win elements unfortunately, you can buy points and then use them to increase production rate and get perks. I'll probably play it for a while at my new desk job.

| Yeah, I was thinking it was rather like Tribal Wars without all the raiding, too. But yeah definitely way to may "click here to pay money to speed things up!" buttons. So far it lacks any social element at all, though, which was what I was really looking for in another game. And I can't tell if the marriage and diplomatic elements will actually include socialisation or just button clicking... | |

| Just got invited to the Europe 750 alpha of this and I am trying it out. I think my first suggestion might be for a small tutorial when you first start. As it is an alpha I am not too bothered about crashing and burning and have already clickied buttons that have told me "this is temporarily disabled", but I don't know, it's early days. It looks like it has potential as long as a/ they improve how to communicate and b/ I figure out how to annex my neighbours. Oops! Did I just say that out loud? | |

| I checked my spam email folder and am now playing in the Europe 750 game as well. I found a tutorial after I built a few things, so it's not much help to me at this point.
This game is soooo slow, it takes forever to get resources. Guess I was expecting something along the lines of Tribal Wars and similar games.
Nice to see where they got all the building icons for the RK 3d crap lol

| The shit thing about that is that some people on the first game have decided to play on this one so denying fresh players a chance. They should stick to the other game imho. | |

| Oh they eliminated a bunch of clones so that is why spaces have opened up. Best advice I can give on starting up is to cultivate at least two fields and build a granary. You also need a Mott and Bailey Castle fairly quickly so you can research new technologies. Even if you can't activate them, it is a good idea to research them as research can take up to 70 hours. Then you need to look at your mines and have at least one stone and iron mine. What isn't clear and I have just found out, is that you may see an iron and a stone icon on the same hill you explored, this means that you have both stone and iron on that spot, but you can only mine one of them. Oh and be prepared for a lot of your family to die. I have had 5 infant mortalities so far and the head of the family just died of old age (I blame his 20 year old wife myself).
As to the forums, I just post in English and no-one has complained. I think it is open to all and its just that most of the players are French.

| How do you cultivate and mine? I've built a market, granary, windmill, and forge but haven't seen anything about building fields or mines. | |
