I am doing my best to build up Ponteverda so that is mainly fields for food to get the population up and building up the tech. I don't have enough population to supply many troops yet, but I am working on it.

Best way to get more population is to build troops and take over cities.

But yes, you need to feed them as well

How do you take over citys? War of Vassalisation just makes them your vassals and they get their citys back.

Bekah, does that city make a lot of food? I might send you some cash, so you can hire some mercs to join us if things get rough. Would that be ok?

Going to be lots of cities to take over here, if things go well.

A few ways:

During a war of vassalization, or any type of war, you can wipe them out. They might quit then, and all the cities you took are yours. I gained about 20 cities this way, just by kicking ass with vassal wars.

Other ways are war of reconquest or betrayal, which if the enemy signs automatic peace, includes written in the treaty is the handover of a city. Take a look:

The House de Coimbra promises to pay 7000 pounds to the House de Castoverde. As long as the present treaty has not been accepted, this sum will be increased of 1000 pounds each year.
Article IV
Handover of a seignory

The House de Coimbra hands la Seigneurie de Castelo Branco over to the House de Castoverde. This includes:
The actual control of the territory of the aforesaid seignory at the time where the present treaty has been accepted.
Any political influence on the territory of the aforesaid seignory at the time of acceptance of the present treaty.
The title of legitimate Lord of the aforesaid seignory if the family had that title.
The stocks of materials located on the aforesaid territory at the time of acceptance of the present treaty.

If, at the time of the acceptance of the present treaty, the House de Coimbra does not own la Seigneurie de Castelo Branco anymore, the handover will not happen.

Thats the automatic treaty for reconquest.

Have you taken any cities from the AI? idk how that would work, when will they sign a treaty?

i took 2 cities from AI

the city becomes de facto yours, and you gain de jure once your influence is 40 or 50%

I don't control them but any food left at the end of a year vanishes to supply them, which is fine, but it means there is nothing left over.  Also I need a stone mine and more tools before I can build a training camp to mobilise any forces of my own.  Money for mercs would therefore not be helpful at the moment.  As I said I am building it up, but right now, all it seems Pontevedra can do is supply food.

and if you want, i can sell you as much stone as you need or can give you a few thousand to just buy some instant off the market.

i make over 27k profit each year after paying wages, but i only have so many political points to build troops.

I am such an idiot!  I never thought to do that.   Right, feeling sheepish now lol.

I have very little storage capacity, I mean the city didn't even have fields or mines when I got it so a little stone would be a great help, but too much would just go to waste.  And just discovered I can send myself free stone and everything else.   Well that helps because Abergavenny is golden and can can afford to build up Pontevedra.  

If you are ok with me ceasing to supply your armies I will, but if you need the supplies I will keep it up.

hey bekah, when you get a chance can you give me tereul as vassal back? i need to march through his territory, and since im not attacking him anytime soon, would be helpful.

its a treaty of vassal transfer, pick liege lord one of my titles, and then pick vassal as teruel, whatever that title tereul has in the drop box.

wow, war is mostly over and we won the day

our plan worked out, once the war started in their backyard they surrendered.

the only 2 people i cannot fight for the next 5 days are vauclair and auch. the rest are fair game, and we're going to keep this going

hey lance, you have your troops wandering about in the south, not sure where they are headed but they might start running out of supplies without a supply line.

when in doubt, put your troops on top of an allied city
