Joining in on the 'gotz a job' club here! Had a job interview 2 weeks ago and got hired! How's life treating ya? - Page 9 Cheer

Starting out simple; Event Security. Pays crappy but at least I'll have something else to do than only be 'the mommy of'. Besides, we get fed, boozed up (after the event), gas costs are covered and we get lunch/dinner packages as well as drinks. That and: I GET TO THE EVENTS/FESTIVALS FOR FREE! Cool

Just sucks the police takes 2-8 weeks before I get my security ID. Before that comes in I can not work. Ugh.

More good news, lost 40 pounds in total since April and almost fit in my pre-pregnancy size 8 clothes again. Happy camper! Laughing

Oh well, the chip shop job didn't work out, but on the plus side, got great compliments on my kitchen work to say I never worked in one before, just the wrapping I wasn't so good at sadly, but least now I know that perhaps kitchen work might be an avenue to explore until I can get into the career I would like rather that just a job. Left on good terms though which is good considering its my local chippy and would be a little buggered on the days I can't be arsed to cook at home. And I got my tea tonight for free so not all bad considering.

Speaking of orange... My husband informed me that Orange is the New Black will not be coming out with a third season. In fact, the two seasons that are on Netflix will be removed in September due to a conflict between the owner of Netflix and the producer of the show. Lame.

Not an official holiday here no, but my family support Ulster so we usually show our support in the ways we can. And for the politics side, we all hate the IRA so everything that is two fingers against terrorists is always something to be celebrated.

I won't turn this into an argument either then, but its not a celebration of hate, it's a celebration and anniversary of victory in battle leading to the eventual victory of Protestant King William of Orange over Catholic King James VII.

Passenger plane shot down in Ukraine, and now the start of the Israel land invasion of the Gaza strip, nothing intresting for weeks and now everything at once, shit just got serious!

I don't know what to follow first!
Also, what is it with Malaysian planes? I don't think I'll fly with them anytime soon...
It's days like this which encourage me to try and be a wartime camera operator for a news agency.

Edit: 22:00 BST: There were 154 Dutch passengers on board the plane, says an airport official, and 27 Australians, 23 Malaysians, 11 from Indonesia, six from the UK, four Germans, four Belgians, three from the Philippines and one Canadian. More nationalities have yet to be counted.

I've heard (not sure!) that the Malaysian plane was flying really close to the one Putin was in and that it was probably "Ukranian rebels" (media's words) who missed their target.

Those poor people though Sad

My brother will be on a Malaysian plane on Saturday or Sunday. Hopefully there will be no risk since he'll just be traveling inside of Malaysia.
