We're doing VIP for a few months to run some adventure areas. Anyone know if druid characters are still playable after VIP expires (without buying any expansion packs)?

pretty sure you would lose access until you unlocked the character type. your character wont be deleted, just be inaccessible until you were vip again or bought the class.

the xpack MOTU costs 35.99 and comes with a lot of stuff (like 4 other adventure packs, epic destinies, even 1000 turbine points), so when your vip runs out you have options.

Awesome, thanks. Everything I've bought over the past 4-5 years has just been a permanent unlock, so this is new territory. Probably should have just opted for MotU to begin with, but que sera sera.

Edit: We got through it with our guild on Ghallanda, there are some tricks to the big fight at the end. I think we finished it under an hour eventually, big improvement on the 4 hours it took to fully explore the first time through. Wil Wheaton narrates and there are lots of "pearls" with extra tidbits from him throughout.

I logged in today and saw a shiny new button to press.. "usurp" :O

I'm currently playing, and have been for years, but on thelanis. Completionnist 3, so far.

So, unless I could somehow transfer, I'm not about to start over on a different server, but if anyone's interested in playing over on thelanis, I'm there~

So I get home from work today a bit earlier than usual and think to myself: "I've done all there is to do with every game I have, what now?" So I figured on downloading DDO as I have never played it and RPGs are a personal favorite genre, MMOs especially, though the last RPG MMO I played was Guild Wars years ago.

Anyway, game is downloading and it'll probably take awhile, but I'll be on there from time to time once I can start to play, especially if I like it.

I've redownloaded DDO and am refreshing myself on gameplay (yes, I'm a bit rusty).

I took about a year break from DDO, but it still looks about the same as it was when I left.

Edit: I see that they're rolling out a new update next week.

I might try it out...

Absolutely a fun game! My laptop won't run it anymore with all the updates, but as soon as I ever get something to run it on...I'll be back! hehe

I've started playing, it seems pretty decent so far.

Now that I have a pc capable of playing, going to give it a try. Just waiting on the files to download.

I've been working on Davidleeroth. He's the bard that thinks he's a barb. DLR likes to jump around in studded spandex armor waving a big pink axe, while singing "I'm just a gigolo".

DLR just hit level 22 and he's starting to run the Eveningstar quests. Everyone who's made it to E* is welcome to tag along!
