But I can't move my armies so I'm fucked and the wiki never really addresses it

| i cant remember, its been awhile. what i remember was that it was easy tho, just a button to click to rally the armies, which makes icons for armies appear in your provinces/counties/etc, showing how many troops- then you just select which army you want to move, and move it.. i took over most of europe in that game | |

| yeah I just figured it out, you have to click on the army, then clikc "go to" then RIGHT CLICK on the spot you want to go to.
Which is dumb cause it's like the only time in this game you ever right click.
Thanks for lookin' Anto!

| It was horribly addictive, but then all at once I got sick of it. Very steep learning curve.
It's pretty fun on multiplayer tho

| I can recommend most of the Paradox games. Europa Universalis 3 is great, as are Hearts of Iron and Victoria. Especially for all us history geeks out there. | |

| My favorite is EU. I played EU2 to death and I keep coming back to EU3 every year.
HoI is my least favorite (but still a damn good game), for two reasons: Its a WW2 scenario and there are only so many ways you can play that one out (although liberating the oppressed workers of the world as the United States of Socialist America is hilarious). Also: the emphasis is more on combat then on economy, and I like playing around with economics.
I love Victoria, because of its complex economics, but less because the game is already kinda fixed. With a start date of early 19th century, there is no point in playing as Thailand, or Greece, for example. Its only really playable/enjoyable if you play the nations that historically did well: USA, Russia, France, etc.
Which brings me to the main strength of EU3: with a start date of the 14th century, you can play almost any nation and conquer half the world with it by the time the game ends in the 1800s. And you can make it as easy or as difficult as you want, with the diff settings and the various mods. Some mods make it easier, some are downright impossible (for me, the laidback gamer)

I used this site to download the mods. Depends on your build number but you can get all instructions from there.

It's dead simple. Both those mods largely unpack themselves in the right place - so as long as you haven't changed the default directory for CK2 it should work fine. Then you just need to remember to double-click the launcher (the icon with the Paradox picture) rather than the CK2 game itself (the icon with the shield picture) and pick which mod you want to use in the bottom left.

| This game makes me so upset lol
I jam for like 4 hours then like....I start off as Count of Leon in Britany then take over Britany through much incest and scheming. Did I mention a lot of incest? Right...so take it over...then some peasant lordling of mine pomps an English dukes daughter, gets her preggers and asks for assistance when he revolts me. Now im busy beatin down on Frog land coz I married a princess of france and killed all her brothers now trying to lay claim to my sheeeiiiit, yo! So a MILLION troops from England come over, I beat down on them like a mother chucker and send a fleet over with a ZILLION troops...but I cant disembark onto their lands through the ports...WTF! All the while my treasury is getting drained to the negative coz im on the ships...why! any advice?

| You send the boats to their shore
Click on your armies that are on the boats
Click to travel to the land you want them to disembark to.
If I remember right | |

| do not leave ships in ports, as soon as you are done with then disband them. They are extremely expensive to use. Much more expensive than the armies they transport. | |
