Mayhaps you can put a knife to some innocent smart girls throat and demand she decipher the very obvious meaning of my very simple post.
PS Your tears sustain me
Pretend I am speaking slowly when you read this:
Just a friendly reminder that threads in Babel are OOC. That means "out of character". That means you are implying the player behind Daub is an actual criminal who puts actual knives to actual girls throats.
There are no roleplay threads in Babel.
That was well said. A little graphic and extreme, but still well said.
I appreciate the compliment from Harkaa, I do. But the part in which I am graphic and extreme? I am directly quoting an English Asshat (see bolding).

Harkaa is actually a pretty cool guy.
That Tyrion Lannister jack hole tho is ruining one of my favorite fictional characters.

Is it just me that thinks it is supremely sad that people can't come up with original names? I have seen a Jaime Lannister running around as well as a Danearys. Don't get me wrong, I have read many characters in my lifetime and thought to myself how cool it would be to be that person. That is the craft of the author in that they have created a character you can relate to and want to be like. Apart from when I was four and I told someone I was "Steve Austin, Astronaut", I haven't actually ever acted out those fictional characters. Instead I prefer to create my own fictional characters, especially in a *shock* *horror* fictional role playing environment. Maybe if I joined a game of thrones role play forum, I might expect to see those characters, but even then, I would prefer to make up my own character (especially considering how George loves to kill off his characters lol).
Also, Game of thrones isn't new. Those of us who *gasp* read have known of this story for quite a while now.
Okay, I think I have expressed my 'inner bitch' for the day

The story of you when you were four got a laugh... my daughter for 2 months refused to answer to her name. She was Peter Pan, and wouldn't listen till you called her that. I had the strangest looks when we would go shopping and I had to ask Peter Pan to come hold Mommy's hand.
She also had me make her a full Peter Pan costume for halloween that year

I agree 100%. People should use original characters, its annoying when they don't - especially when their char is nothing like the char they are imitating.

I knew a guy named John Lancaster once. He RP'ed as a dwarf and only ever used a crossbow. Used Tyrion Lannister as his signature. Personality and everything was the same .That's how it is done properly :p
